- For the last several years, "Viking Culture" (whatever that means) has been a popular fashion statement. This has been good and bad for those of us who honor the old ways. On one hand, it's not difficult to find jewelry that reflects your spirituality, and because the style is so popular that wearing such jewelry doesn't receive sideways looks like the oft misunderstood Wiccan pendants do.
The problem is that SO MUCH of the jewelry out there is so heavily militantly stylized and in your face and completely incorrect of historical context that if feels like LARPing poser costume jewelry.
However, this Mjolnir is perfect. It's a small and simple hammer. Nothing like the garish and over the top gigantic monstrosities you often see. It's crafted from bronze and very well finished with only the hint of imperfections being that it is obviously handmade. In short, it is not overly noticable and thus makes it a very personal piece of everyday wear that is subtle enough to hide in plain sight yer well made enough to be durable and offer the wearer a real pride of ownership.
Thor is the god of the common person. The workers, those that toil in the earth, etc. This simple and rustic piece perfectly embodies this. - G
